ACTIVITIES and athletics

Recreation Swim Coach - Boys/Girls

Successful candidates will have extensive swimming experience and can build a strong recreation club swim program. 

Lifeguard- Part time

Successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Exceptional customer service is required.

Water Exercise Instructor

Successful candidates are responsible for teaching their assigned classes while providing motivation, monitoring, education and appropriate modifications. Instructors should provide world-class customer service, help promote member retention and maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for participants.

Water Safety Instructor

Successful candidate is responsible for planning and teaching group swim lessons and private lessons for patrons of the Charlotte Aquatic Center.

District Monitor

Successful candidate is responsible for the protection of Charlotte Public Schools property and equipment at / in the rented area or building.  The monitor must be on site and at the point of the activity during the length of the rental period.

Varsity Girls Swim Coach

Successful candidates will have extensive swimming experience and can build and lead a strong athletic program.  

Varsity Diving Coach- Girls/Boys

Successful candidates will have extensive diving experience and can build and lead a strong athletic program.  

Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach

Successful candidates will have extensive volleyball experience and can build and lead a strong athletic program.

Administrative assistants

Full Time Admin. Assistant Aquatic Center & MS CUE Building

The Building Secretary performs a variety of administrative support and clerical functions for Charlotte Upper Elementary, Middle School, and Aquatic Center.  The Building Secretary is the first ambassador of the school that the public encounters.  This individual must remain flexible in nature, possess a positive attitude at all times, and maintain confidentiality regarding staff, students, and parents.

Server/Cashier - Two Positions Available

Successful candidates must promote teamwork, customer service, and help implement processes to assist with department goals. Preparation and serving of meals for students.

 

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Student Support Specialist, Full Time

The goal of the Student Support Specialist is to identify and assist students to overcome barriers that interfere with learning through the use of assessment, counseling, consultation, coordination of school and community resources, and program development.  The Student Support Specialist utilizes knowledge of human behavior, social, cultural and community influences to help create a positive learning climate. Provides case management services.

General Education Paraprofessional - Full time, 7 hours/day

The role of the paraprofessional is to provide additional support in the classroom setting, as well as lunchroom/playground. The paraprofessional’s goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning school environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

Gen Ed / Media Center Paraprofessional - Part Time, 4 hours/day

The role of the General Education / Media Center Paraprofessional is to provide additional support and supervision in the lunchroom and playground. Additionally, this role includes coverage for the building media center. Creativity is encouraged in this role when reviewing and developing new initiatives for encouraging an early love for reading. The paraprofessional’s goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning school environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

The role of the paraprofessional is to provide additional support in the classroom setting, as well as lunchroom/playground. The paraprofessional’s goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning school environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

 

Teachers

4th Grade Elementary Teacher - Full Time

Teacher will have responsibilities for 4th grade direct instruction to students.  A wide variety of tasks are performed in the teaching-learning process for students, the primary one being to help students learn the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults.

 

TRANSPORTATION

School Bus Driver - Full Time

A school bus driver is responsible for safe operation of the school bus according to district policy as well as state and federal regulations.  Additionally, a school bus driver must effectively manage student behavior while the students are on the bus and work to build meaningful student relationships.

Substitute School Bus Driver - Part Time/On-Call

A substitute school bus driver is responsible for safe operation of the school bus according to district policy as well as state and federal regulations.  Additionally, a substitute school bus driver must effectively manage student behavior while the students are on the bus.  This position will not have a regularly assigned route.
