ACTIVITIES and athletics

Recreation Swim Coach - Boys/Girls

Successful candidates will have extensive swimming experience and can build a strong recreation club swim program. 

Lifeguard- Part time

Successful candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies. Exceptional customer service is required.

Water Exercise Instructor

Successful candidates are responsible for teaching their assigned classes while providing motivation, monitoring, education and appropriate modifications. Instructors should provide world-class customer service, help promote member retention and maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for participants.

Water Safety Instructor

Successful candidate is responsible for planning and teaching group swim lessons and private lessons for patrons of the Charlotte Aquatic Center.

District Monitor

Successful candidate is responsible for the protection of Charlotte Public Schools property and equipment at / in the rented area or building.  The monitor must be on site and at the point of the activity during the length of the rental period.

Middle School 7th Grade Volleyball Coach

Successful candidates will have extensive volleyball experience and can assist in building a strong athletic program.

Aquatic Center Supervisor

This is a professional position and considered part of marketing and public relations for Charlotte Public Schools.  The Aquatic Center Supervisor will plan, organize and administer a diversified aquatics program of water sports, swimming instruction, therapeutic exercise, and recreational swimming for all ages.  A variety of land-based recreation programming will also be offered under the direction of this position.  Be responsible for and maintain the fiscal and physical integrity of the Charlotte Aquatic Center (CAC).

STUDENT SUPPORT SERVICES

Special Education Paraprofessional - Full time, 7 hours/day

The role of the special education paraprofessional is to provide additional support in the classroom setting, as well as lunchroom/playground. The paraprofessional’s goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning school environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

Gen Ed / Media Center Paraprofessional - Part Time, 4 hours/day

The role of the General Education / Media Center Paraprofessional is to provide additional support and supervision in the lunchroom and playground. Additionally, this role includes coverage for the building media center. Creativity is encouraged in this role when reviewing and developing new initiatives for encouraging an early love for reading. The paraprofessional’s goal is to assist in providing a well-organized, smooth functioning school environment in which all children can take full advantage of the instructional program and available resource materials.

General Education Paraprofessional - Part Time, 3 hours/day

The role of the paraprofessional is to provide additional support in the classroom setting, as well as lunchroom/playground. Teachers

2nd Grade Elementary Teacher - Full Time

Teacher will have responsibilities for 2nd grade direct instruction to students.  A wide variety of tasks are performed in the teaching-learning process for students, the primary one being to help students learn the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults.

Elementary Technology Teacher - Full Time

The Elementary Technology Teacher will be responsible for the 1st-3rd grade direct instruction to students.  A wide variety of tasks are performed in the teaching-learning process for students, primarily to help students learn the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults. The Technology Teacher will have duties to foster and drive technology advancement for school age children.  Advance common core curriculum into computer usage by combining computer technology, keyboarding, and application integration.

6th Grade Elementary Teacher - Full Time

Teacher will have responsibilities for 6th grade direct instruction to students.  A wide variety of tasks are performed in the teaching-learning process for students, the primary one being to help students learn the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults.

Middle School ELA Teacher - Full Time

Teacher will have responsibilities for ELA direct instruction to Middle School students.  A wide variety of tasks are performed in the teaching-learning process for students, the primary one being to help students learn the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults.

Middle School Art Teacher - Full Time

Teacher will have responsibilities for art instruction to middle school students.  A wide variety of tasks are performed in the teaching-learning process for students, the primary one being to help students learn the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults.

Middle School Social Studies Teacher - Full Time

Teacher will have responsibilities for Social Studies direct instruction to Middle School students.  A wide variety of tasks are performed in the teaching-learning process for students, the primary one being to help students learn the subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible adults.

Middle School Special Education Teacher - Full Time

Teacher will assist in fostering student growth in a resource capacity for middle school students identified as eligible for special education services. TRANSPORTATION

School Bus Driver - Full Time

A school bus driver is responsible for safe operation of the school bus according to district policy as well as state and federal regulations.  Additionally, a school bus driver must effectively manage student behavior while the students are on the bus and work to build meaningful student relationships.

Substitute School Bus Driver - Part Time/On-Call

A substitute school bus driver is responsible for safe operation of the school bus according to district policy as well as state and federal regulations.  Additionally, a substitute school bus driver must effectively manage student behavior while the students are on the bus.  This position will not have a regularly assigned route.
