CPS Staff Reflect on Points of Pride

We asked our staff to reflect on their points of pride as the school year comes to a close--see what they had to say

As we wrapped up the 2022-23 school year this week, we asked our staff to reflect on points of pride!   Our staff works incredibly hard each day to support our district and grow our students, here are some of the highlights below!

“I am most proud of being a supportive staff member to students and colleagues and being "that person" that kids want to come see and staff feel comfortable suggesting to a kid that they come see me.”

“Days when the students truly got into the lesson.”

“Student growth and improvement that allows them to have a better quality of life both at school and home. Growth at school transfers to home which allows families to have successes, decrease stressors and have hope. Building partnerships with families to support their learner's needs.”

“Having the kids be excited about what they are learning.”

“I had the most fun doing cardio drumming with Project Success, offering groups for students to attend, and building relationships with the kids.”

“Watching and listening to kids as they realize a scientific fact or concept.”

“Just being in a building that supports one another, works as a team and actually WORKS and TEACHES, just doesn't try to survive. My admin is amazing and makes this school FUN. Plus my students are the best!”

“Development of Future Educators with 6 returning students!”

“Watching my students take their learning, apply it, and come back with excitement for their work in classrooms throughout the district.”

“Getting to know the kids and having them feel comfortable with me while still knowing I have high expectations.”

“The positive impact on program offerings and support for our students.”

For me, quotes like this show what a successful school year looks like!  As we graduate our class of 2023, I like to think about how many of these little moments contributed towards their success, as they pass this milestone and into the future.  While we celebrate our graduates, let us also extend a huge message of appreciation to all of our staff, and how they have impacted our students along the way!  THANK YOU to all of our CPS staff, as we work as a team to support our kids, whether it is cooking tasty and healthy lunches, being the happy face that greets them onto the bus, the comforting administrative assistant that communicates with parents daily, our support staff that allow us to problem solve all of the little things needed to help our students, our various program leaders outside of the school day, the administrators leading the charge, and the educational staff that are working every day towards the success of our students!

Go Orioles!  Oriole Pride!
