Curriculum and Instruction

Charlotte Public Schools follows the Michigan Department of Education Academic Standards to implement the Michigan Merit Curriculum for each subject area.  You can view the Academic Standards at the MDE website.

Curriculum Committee

The Charlotte Public Schools Curriculum Committee meets quarterly to guide our district’s implementation of the Michigan Merit Curriculum.  The committee reviews current curriculum, implements a process for adding/updating curriculum, and reviews curriculum implementation.

Student Assessment Questions

The SAEBRS (Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener) is used to identify students who may require additional support to be successful in the classroom. The document below outlines the specific questions students answer regarding their social, academic, and emotional behaviors.
