tiger sharks club swimming  Fall 2025

Anyone is able to join the Tiger Shark swim club.  We welcome CPS students, homeschoolers, and other area district students.  There is no residency requirement for Tiger Sharks.

1st - 3rd Grade Students  $120     Register Here

Practice 2 times a week for 60 minutes.

Swimmers in 1st - 3rd grades will practice two times per week for one hour.  Practice will be like an intense swimming lesson.  The goal of our program for our youngest sharks is to be able to compete all four strokes 25 yards legally.  Practice is offered daily Monday - Thursday from 6:00 -7:00pm, pick the two days that work best for you.  They do not always have to be the same two days, there is flexibility in our program to make it easy for you to participate.   

4th - 5th Grade Students  $160      Register Here

Winter ball

Our winter ball is for everyone.  This was formerly known as the Daddy Daughter dance and in an effort to be inclusive of all families and family types we have renamed it the winter ball.  It is predominately still daddys/grandpas and girls, we do have moms and sons and full families attend as well.  

For the safety of all children, we have created a separate dance for young children. The ages for each group will be firm.  If you have children in both age ranges, please go to both the afternoon and evening dance with the appropriate aged children.

Join us for our day camp with a trip to Mooville.  We will spend the morning at the CAC and play in the gym and swim.  In the afternoon we will travel to Mooville to play outside and have ice cream.  No extra money is needed for ice cream.   Lunch and snack is provided for all participants.  Please bring a suit and towel and dress appropriately for the weather including closed toe shoes.

Join us for our day camp with a trip to ZapZone XL in the Lansing Mall.  We will spend the morning at the CAC and play in the gym and swim.   In the afternoon we will travel to ZapZone in Lansing to play.   Money for the arcade is not included in the cost of registration.  All participants will need trampoline socks (grippy bottomed socks) or bring $4 to purchase socks.  Lunch will be provided for all participants.

Join our day camp that focuses all on Christmas.  We will not take a trip during this day camp.  Instead, we will learn to decorate Christmas cookies, make an ornament, and do other holiday themed activities.  The kids will also get to play and swim.  Lunch and snacks are provided.

Join us for our day camp with a trip to Charlotte Pottery.  We will spend the morning at the CAC and play in the gym and swim.  In the afternoon we will travel to Charlotte Pottery.  The kids will get to pick out a piece to paint.  Pottery pieces will be available for pick up at the CAC about 14 days after the camp.  Lunch and snacks will be provided at Charlotte Pottery.

Tennis lessons are held at the Charlotte High School Tennis courts.   If there is a rainy day, lessons will be  held in the Charlotte Middle School in the cafeteria.  Please pick the kids up from door 1 on the Upper Elementary side at the conclusion of their lesson.   Register Here

Pickleball organized play / lessons

Pickleball will be held at the Charlotte High School courts.  This will be organized play for those that know how to play or lessons will be available for those that do not know how to play.  We do have paddles available for those that need to borrow one.   Register Here

5:30 - 7:00 pm for all HS and MS students

Pickleball open play/lessons will be available to all middle school and high school students on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.  Pay just $20 for the whole session or pay $5 each time you show up.   All skill levels are welcome.

golf lessons

Golf lessons will be held at Charlotte Middle School on the ball fields.  We do have clubs that participants can use if they do not have their own.  Registration is necessary for this program.  Contact our office at 517.541.5740 if you have questions.

Golf clubs can be kept at the Charlotte Aquatic Center if that makes it easier for students to participate.  Please dress appropriately for the weather and bring  a water bottle.  If it is raining, we still do our lesson indoors.  Please pick kids up from door 1 on the Upper Elementary side on rain days.  They will be in the media center practicing putting.  

Babysitting Class

Babysitting class will take place at Central Office.  Participants will learn about caring for children of all ages from birth on.  All participants will learn the basics of how to provide care for someone that is choking and the basics of CPR and rescue breathing but will not get certified in those skills.   Participants will walk to Weymouth Child Development Center for hands on experience and practice.  This is not a Red Cross course. 


Oriole ski and snowboard

Join OSS as we head to Bittersweet Ski Area for the day on Friday, February 13th.  We will leave from the Charlotte Aquatic Center at 9:00 a.m. and return at 6:00pm.  The cost is $10 per person, that only covers transportation.  Participants will have to purchase a lift ticket at Bittersweet  and either bring their equipment or rent it. 


Swim in movies     $5 per person

Join us right after school for a Swim In Movie picked just for Middle and High School students.  There will be concessions available for purchase for $2 each.  We have some rafts to use, you are also welcome to bring your own.

Saturday, December 6th


Chicago Day Trip Saturday, December 6th. Come join us on a fun filled day to Chicago. We provide the transportation on a comfortable charter bus with a bathroom. You get to plan and spend the day your way.  All children must be accompanied by a parent and there are NO chaperones provided for this trip.  The bus will leave the Charlotte Aquatic Center at 8AM. The bus will return to the Aquatic Center around 10:30PM. Drop off and pick up are all at Navy Pier.  This trip does need to meet a minimum passenger capacity in order to run. If it is not met - a full refund will be provided. Please sign up by November 15th.  If you have any questions please call the office at 517-541-5740.

Join us for drop in volleyball every Tuesday and Thursday at Charlotte Middle School.  We play in the main gym from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.  The cost is $5 per night or purchase a $40 punch card with 10 punches on it.   No registration is necessary, come and play!

Players are asked to observe tennis/pickleball court courtesies as well as rules of good conduct on and around courts.  This includes avoiding the use of profane/lewd language in appropriate for a school setting.

Whenever there are players waiting, all players must vacate courts after playing for one half (1/2) hour (up to 2 hours for reservations) or one set.  Winners shall have no prior rights to remain on the courts.

Charlotte Public Schools shall have priority use for school or school-sponsored activities.

No individual, group, club or organization shall occupy tennis courts for tournament play without written permission from Charlotte Public Schools.  Application must be made at least fourteen (14) days in advance of requested dates set for start of play.  Approval is subject to the District's facility use policy.
