Sine Elected to Statewide Post

Congratulations to CPS's Michelle Sine on election to MSBO Board

Michelle Sine, CFO, Associate Superintendent for Business & Operations, Charlotte Public Schools, was recently elected to serve on the Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) Board of Directors for a three-year term. Sine is an MSBO Certified Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She has been an active MSBO member since 2000.

“I’ve had the privilege of serving the Charlotte Public Schools’ community for 23 years in different capacities, learning from exceptional mentors,” said Sine. “My experiences have given me an appreciation for all aspects of K-12 education from the bus driver that safely gets our children to school, to the teacher in the classroom and every other team member supporting our students and staff each day. The support that MSBO provides members has significantly contributed to my success and I am excited for the opportunity to give back to an organization that plays such an important role in the education of Michigan’s children.”

Sine was awarded the MSBO School Business Official of the Year in 2022. MSBO’s School Business Official of the Year award honors an individual for their accomplishments and contributions to their profession and school.

Sine’s professional activities include membership in Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO), as well as serving as past president of the Central Michigan School Business Officials and serving as a past board member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and CharlotteRising. She has presented at the MSBO Annual Conference and other workshops.

The MSBO Board is composed of nine members elected on a statewide basis. The Board oversees the operations of MSBO, which represents more than 3,100 school business officials (those who provide leadership in the business office, transportation, facilities, food service, human resources, and technology.)
